PHILAM
General Aim
PHILAM is an interdisciplinary project exploring the emergence of philosophy of language as a discipline at the Madrasas of the 14th/15th century.

Team
The team consists of three fellows:
- Nadja Germann (responsible for philosophy, adab, and naḥw)
- Ziad Bou Akl (responsible for philosophy and uṣūl al-fiqh)
- Mostafa Nafaji (responsible for philosophy, adab, and balāgha)
Cooperation
The team closely cooperates with Prof. Dr. Maroun Aouad (Paris) and his ERC project Philosophy in Context (PhiC).

2014-2015 PHILAM was funded by the Innovation Fund Research of Freiburg University.
